The best thing about Herr's Snack Factory Tour is that it is completely FREE!
Although it is free, you must still make reservations by calling them up or doing it online. It can get crowded and they schedule your tour time accordingly.
When you get there you watch a short film about the history, which is actually pretty interesting. Then they take you to see where they make the chips, pretzels, etc. At the end you get to taste warm chips right off the assembly line. They are sooooo tasty! They give you some free small bags of chips at the end and of course leave you in their gift shop. They have so many flavors you don't normally see in stores, and the prices are inexpensive. Plus you have options to fill a bag for a small amount of money and there is an ooops section where they are really cheap, because they were irregular in size, or amount of flavoring added. Still perfectly good snacks!
