Can They Build It? Yes, They Can!

There's nothing cuter than your kiddo using real tools to build wooden creations of their own! Check out these 2 places that offer opportunities for your little one to make free projects. Sometimes they make toys, sometimes they make something useful for the house. But either way you can be sure they will have a lot of fun!

Lowe's has a program called Build & Grow. You MUST go online and register in advance. They are always free and open to the public. They are held on select Saturday's at 10 am. Click here to see what's coming up. Oh, and the best part is that your kid gets one of those Lowe's aprons, goggles, and a patch for each project completed! Most projects are geared toward kids in grades 1-5. But my hubby started taking my kid there when he was 4. He just needed more help from his dad. No biggie.

The Home Depot runs a similar program that offers Kids Workshops one Saturday a month. They run from 9 am - 12 pm. You can sort of drop in and participate in this one. And of course, what fun would it be if your kid didn't get any goodies? Each child gets a Home Depot apron, a certificate of achievement and a commemorative pin. Click here to see what's happening this month. Home depot recommends children ages 5-12 attend these workshops. But you almost always see some preschoolers there, too.
