NJ Parks & Recreation: Summer 2015 Events

One of the best things I ever discovered as a mother was County Parks' summer events. From live animal shows to movies in the park to puppet shows to kiddie concerts (and music adults like, too), there really is a lot of fun to be had and it is all free! All of my friends can tell you my motto is "If it's free, then it's for me!"

  • Gloucester County has their special events on their website.

Click here for Movies in the Park.
Click here for Family Fun Shows.

  • Washington Township (in Gloucester County) does their own thing and offers TONS of fun things! Click here to see what they have planned.

  • West Deptford (also in Gloucester County) features free summer concerts at The RiverWinds. Click here for that schedule.

  • Camden County mails out a color brochure (to residents only) in late May-early June. But you can click here to see it before it hits the presses!

  • Collingswood (in Camden County) hosts music and movie nights at Knight Park. Click here to check out what they have to offer.

  • Even though Cherry Hill (in Camden County) mostly has parks & rec activities that are resident-only, click here and turn to page 21 to see their Music Under the Stars schedule for free concerts in the park.
Edited to add:

  • Voorhees is once again offering their Twilight Series at Connolly Park. Bring a chair and enjoy some of the area's greatest cover bands! Click here for dates.

  • Mount Laurel will have a summer concert series, held at their community center and Laurel Acres Park. Click here for the dates.

*If anyone has a link to other counties in NJ, DE, or Philly let me know and I'll add them.
